St Mena is one of the most well-known saints in the church. Both his parents passed away when he was very young, after which he gave away all his inheritance to the poor. He lived at the time of persecution, when Emperors Diocletian and Maximian commanded that all Christians worship the Roman gods, Apollo and Artemis. St Mena left his high rank in the army and spent 5 years worshipping God in the desert alone. Upon receiving a vision, he confessed his faith in Jesus openly before the governor and was tortured severely. Many of those watching believed in Jesus because of him. Following his martyrdom, many miracles continue to happen through his blessing. St Pope Kyrillos the Sixth, the 116th Patriarch of the Coptic Orthodox Church, loved St Mena dearly, who became to him his closest friend.

St Mena the Wonder Worker, told through the eyes of his sister, will inspire readers to put God’s love above any other thing in their lives, following his example! Who knows, you might befriend him also!
