Fr Anthony Messeh Snippet | One Nation Under God

Nation and worldwide, we have seen the flaws of government systems and political parties. However, despite our political beliefs or stances regarding the authority,, God is in charge of everything – He controls such ordinances. 

In this snippet, Fr Anthony explains that:

1. Human government is ordained by God and not by man. However, one must “render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s; and to God the things that are God’s.” (Matthew 22:21)

2. God has the ability to accomplish His will in spite of (and even through) ungodly rulers. God’s workings are beyond our comprehension. But, take comfort in this society knowing that it all serves a purpose.

In the Bible, we see two prime examples of corrupt authority. Nebuchadnezzar and Pharaoh. However, God did not forsake His people who were under the rule of these figures. Instead, God used Nebuchadnezzar and Pharaoh’s authority to show to His people the strength of God and the power in relying in Him.
